DIY SKINCARE RECIPES

As a multi-use brand that gets asked all the time what are some great ways to use our products and as a recommendation by a family member I'm putting this little DIY skincare recipe page together for you to refer to!

LIP SCRUB

Ingredients:

Mix in a little bowl and apply to lips with finger. Scrub around and let it sit for a few minutes this will give the cinnamon time to warm and plump lips and the balm to nourish the new skin. Remember our lips are very thin skin so you don't need to scrub to hard!

Pro Tip: Great before you know you're going to wear lipstick

SCALP SCRUB

Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon Himalayan or sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon raw sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Ola Oil (maybe double for thicker hair)
  • 1 teaspoon balm (optional to create paste texture easier to apply)

Mix all ingredients in a bowl and either use your finger or a brush to section down the middle of your hair, the sides and the back and apply to your scalp. Give yourself a gentle head massage and you can choose to put a towel or shower cap on to help warm up the oils or just let sit. When you shower shampoo and condition as usual.

This is a great option about 20 minutes before you shower to stimulate hair growth while massaging which creates blood flow to the scalp. The other benefit is it cleanse off residue from shampoos and condition as well scrubs away dry skin. We don't tend to take care of our scalp as much as the rest of our skin and in turn it has an affect on our hair.

BATH SALTS

5 squirts of our 10oz Ola Oil

Mix all together, place in a beautiful jar in your bathroom and use 1 cup in your bath to nourish skin and relax your mind!

At the end you can gently pat and tap into skin for the added benefit of strengthening skin elasticity and lymphatic drainage which can decrease puffiness and water retention. Honey acts as a gentle exfoliant and clears away dry skin.
